Our founder Stephanie was confronted with a loved one who was suffering from anxiety and depression, and traditional treatment approaches didn’t seem to work effectively. There were multiple breakdowns, a short stint in a mental hospital, and even prescribed medications that brought about devastating side effects. But these mental conditions weren’t only happening in Stephanies’ family, they were happening throughout her community. In urban New Jersey, the effects and consequences of mental illness and opioid addiction were everywhere. So, Stephanie decided to act.

Stephanie began a research journey that became a deep dive for a real solution. Something that wouldn’t have the same physical side effects as prescribed medications.
